Letter from Alia Moore, daughter of Lewis J. MooreDear Cooper, Hart, Leggiero, & Whitehead, Thank you for your fine work on behalf of my father, Lewis J. Moore. You helped make a long, difficult illness easier for him and his family. Dad was able to express his generosity toward family, friends, and his favorite charity, Escarosa Greyhound Adoption. Since he couldn’t travel far from home, his new "hobby" – trips to the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi – were a great diversion from the illness that eventually took away all his autonomy. We were able to hire people to help with 24 hour care while he was at home and provide for his needs. As the cancer gained ground, inch by inch, he vowed never to lose his spirit. That was his final "battle". At the end, we still saw his courage, kindness, and dignity with us and the people at the assisted living center and, finally, the Naval Hospital. We saw the spirit in his eyes through it all. Gracefully, he left us in peace and without pain. Thank you for being part of Lewis Moore’s journey. Warm Regards, Alia Christine Moore
